Community Schools
Change 4 the Kenai has developed a drug misuse prevention curriculum, Community Overdose Prevention Education (COPE), which is being offered through community school classes on the Kenai Peninsula.
If you are unable to attend one of our Community School courses, we have made online versions available for free.
NOTE: Due to COVID-19 there are no Community School courses scheduled.
COPE Online: "The Science of Addiction"
This class will focus on the science behind addiction, the recently released Surgeon General's report regarding addiction and prevention and understanding of factors that may lead to addiction as well as those that build resiliency
COPE Online: "The Truth about Drugs"
With an increasing number of people using drugs around the world today, drug education is more important than ever. This class is designed to provide an introduction to the Truth About Drugs and easy access to further literature and videos for those who wish to learn more.
COPE Online: "Teen Decision Making"
This class will focus on: positive parenting, discussing drug abuse and addiction, indentifing and making changes, ACEs and resiliency, and peer-to-peer talk and training.
COPE Online: "Naloxone"
This class will focus on: the prevalence of drug misuse, the prevention of drug misuse, and drug take back programs.
